Colorado is known for it’s rapidly changing climate. It’s best to pack layers when going horseback riding at the Rusty Spurr Ranch in case the weather gets warmer or colder. We recommend that you wear long pants and closed toe shoes and bring a light jacket. Do not wear shorts or flip flops. Saddle bags are provided so you can carry a water bottle and phone or camera on the saddle.

At the Rusty Spurr Ranch, all guests must be at least 8 years old to sign up for trail rides and 12 years old for cattle drives. No double riding is allowed so each rider is in charge of their own horse.
